Drama School Audition Course
Your one stop shop for everything you need to know about nailing that first impression, getting through those recall rounds and being accepted on to the course of your dream.
Competition is Fierce!
It’s no secret that Drama Schools are notoriously difficult to get accepted on to. There are limited spaces and thousands of applicants each year who are equally driven and hungry to receive one of the coveted places on offer.
With this over saturation of people auditioning, how can you stand out from the crowd and impress an audition panel? How can you make your time in the audition room count?
Invest in Your Process
Drama School audition panels are above all looking for potential and suitability to train on their course right now.
They aren’t necessarily looking to start at the absolute beginning of your understanding and capability.
This means that you need to already have some system or process for working on stage, developing a character and collaborating on a text.
No Process?
No Problem!
The Drama School Audition course takes you through everything you need to know about the process of auditioning for vocational Actor training.
The approach is about being mindful of what an audition panel want to see whilst also staying completely truthful to who you are as an individual and as an artist with a creative point of view.
Through the course you will learn about what you bring to the table as an Actor and an ensemble member as well as developing your audition repertoire, handling redirection in recall rounds and maintaining self care throughout the pressure of audition season.

The Approach
Assess
First you begin with understanding why you want to train and what you want to get out of your time. Time is spent learning what you as an individual offer a prospective school and what strengths you should be playing to.
Prepare
A lot of emphasis is placed on the searching for and preparation of your audition repertoire from contemporary and classical monologues to songs to duologues and sight reading exercises.
Evaluate
The backbone of any solid Actor’s process is their ability to analyse and deconstruct their own work in order to grow and improve. This course takes you through the fundamentals of how to evaluate your rehearsals and auditions so that you can maintain the successful aspects and improve upon others
